With the Upper 5 killed I imagine Kanroji's battle with his carp demons ended immediately.

I think the implication with the maggots is that he lay there with his brother for a few *days* before they were found.

And yeah. Muichiro is probably fine. (well, fine considering the fight he was in.)

I think that was just him feeling the presence/approval of his parents and (most importantly) his brother.
