Also, in regards to the ending to this episode, it's just an example this arc is crazy. IMO it's the most nailbiter one in the entire DragonBall series!
Yajirobe , in hindsight, was actually smart to hide. If not for him , maybe Goku would have perished after all. And sometimes you need to know when to live to fight another day when you're better prepared. I don't blame Goku for wanting to fight however. Who wouldn't after what he did to Krillin?
We really needed Shikamaru for this one...

even though goku was outclassed by piccolo hes still very strong because that attack wouldve killed anybody else
