The Red Dragon and the Gold - House of The Dragon S2 Episode 4 Reaction

A couple of observations about the episode. The men that were put out in the field at Rook’s Rest were soldiers from all the Houses that Cole had recently defeated. They were disposable to him, while he held the Hightower and the King’s Landing Targaryen soldiers off to the sidelines so they wouldn’t be the primary dragon targets. A fun bit of foreshadowing was the glass pitcher that Aegon smashed. It was a gold colored piece of glass with a dragon decorating it. Aegon smashed it to the ground like his golden dragon crashed to the ground later. There is one ASOIAF YouTuber who put out a video that is a play by play description of the dragon battle in this episode. The show creators said that they based the dragon fighting on how birds of prey fight. And that is the basis of this discussion, in a sports commentary style.
