Goku vs. Krillin - Dragon Ball Episode 95 Reaction

It’s an interesting argument because technically Dragon Ball Kai is more how the series was intended because it follows the original manga exactly. Sometimes the filler can create false narratives. But I’m cool with either way

I feel like filler episodes should be for the VIPs while regular viewers get the episodes without filler but that's just my opinion
That's interesting, that is almost the opposite of my argument. I am totally down for one being free on YouTube and the other being exclusive for VIP.

Anyone saying you need to watch anything before Z is silly. Dragonball as a whole isn't complicated stuff. Any of the movies are just fun side stuff, and isn't necessary at all. Enjoy!
With master Roshi jumping out that was him teaching Tien humility and not giving him the satisfaction of letting him win straight aswell
I need help getting back into the discord I missed a payment and can’t get back in
I'm glad your choosing to watch DBZ original and not kai

Which version is exactly what you saw? Some things are a text different from me. e.g. Lunch doesn't seem to blame the turtle for influencing the fight with magic. (I think here she said something about disturbing concentration)
I would reccomend you watch the DragonBall Z Movie Bardock: Father of Goku, before you officially enter Dragonball Z.Its a prequel movie about Goku's origins and foreshadowing of DBZ. Good insight for the Z series.

I actually don't think so my friend. It would spoil a couple of things that would be impactful for Suzy when she encounters them first hand. At a certain point it would be good to watch, like during Namek. Watching it before anything Z though would undermine that 'reveal' if you know what I mean. Even the title of the film is revealing
I actually prefer OG Z to Kai. But don't care enough to complain if Kai ends up being watched.
Being more "accurate" doesn't equal being "better".
Does Kai do some things better. Most certainly.
Does Kai doe EVERYTHING better. Most certainly not.
I can't go into what's better or worse in either without spoiling but will try and be vague.
Most characters have the same voice actors, but in Kai they are more experienced so better. However some characters have different actors. Some voice actor changes were improvements for Kai and some were worse. Only 3 were important enough characters to matter, but of the 3, Kai and OG each win one with the other being a tie. Of the 3 the most important character is the one OG wins, the 2nd most important character is the tie. Kai's win here is the least important of the 3, but Super uses the Kai actor when you get to that.
Animation is not better in Kai. It's the same. But it is cleaned up. That's only because it is newer.
Kai cuts most of the filler. But Z has some great filler. (It has some not so great filler too but what can you do?)
Music is much more up in the air. Kai uses the soundtrack that Japan uses so it is of course the "correct" music. But is it actually better? I don't think so. I think Bruce Faulconer's music in DBZ is better and the claims he plagiarized it have never been proven. But I can understand wanting the same soundtrack used in Japan. If DBZ was getting its very first DUB today they would NOT change the music. That was very much a product of the time.
Here is my suggestion - watch season 1 of DBZ, and when you are finished, watch season 1 of Kai, and film your reaction. You could even make Kai a website exclusive. That way, you make everyone happy.
If you want an authentic dbz experience I highly recommend kai because you'll be getting the real cannon dialogue and all the dragon ball references. Original dub they made up their own dialogue and the voice actors weren't as experienced so it's pretty bad voice acting overall. In kai they're much more experienced and because they had a decade of experience by then
Someone clearly refuses to get the damn hint. I’m pretty sure you’ve been saying a lot of the same shit on numerous videos, and it’s REALLY getting old. WE GET IT ALREADY. Apparently you don’t, though, so I’ll put this in simple terms: Suzy. Isn’t. Watching. Kai. She has already made up her mind that she wants to experience everything without a bunch of stuff cut out, and that is her choice to make. Stop nagging.
I think Suzy should try the Dragonball Z Digitally Remastered DVDs dub. It’s a step above the original, somewhat cheesy toonami dub with the Bruce Falconer soundtrack. The Digitally Remastered DVDs keep the original Japanese soundtrack. At least that’s my opinion. I don’t know
That's a good point, now if you watch Z, you have to pick between the Toonami version or the remaster (wasn't there also another version, like something that came between Toonami and the remaster?) Then you got to choose which English soundtrack you are going to watch.
There’s the mid 90s Ocean dub first. Then Funimation picked up the series in the 2000s and started in a point in the series where the Ocean dub never got passed. From there, they recorded the very original Funimation dub for Toonami, which was a little cheesy in some ways. A few years later, Funimation re-recorded the series again uncut, with filler, and slightly better voice acting. This re-recorded version is the most similar to the Dragonball version she is already watching in my opinion. This is off the top of my head as a life long DBZ fan though
