I think the entire first series as a whole shows us how persistent Goku is in this tournament. He lost twice for really b.s. reasons.
1. Roshi because he didn't say one more syllable.

This whole time you've talked about your love of Krillin, it made me think of how you'd eventually arrive at this episode. This is where the series really takes a dark turn. Hearing you say " Where is Krillin?!" Was heartbreaking 😭 I'm sorry Suzy

Love your passion for this show, which is kind of why I've restarted my membership on here for the 1st time in years! Can't say that I've been looking forward to this episode, but it's definitely one of the most anticipated, and is where the show takes a little bit of a turning point. Btw, happy belated birthday! You should be able to watch that without any spoilers. GT isn't canon, its just a fun show (although the first season feels like it was written to be a completely different show that got the Dragon Ball license, like the first 2-3 episodes are Dragon Ball ish, then for like about 30 episodes you just go off on a wild adventure that could be any generic anime, and doesn't really fit the characters, then in the second season it starts to get good).
